The KDH Designs Story

Kimberly enjoyed walks with her mom and three sisters around their neighborhood growing up and can remember trying to glance into windows to see how people decorated their home. During that time, thanks to her mom's love of decorating and her Southern Living subscription, as well as the TV show Designing Women, she realized there was a career helping people create interiors that could be functional AND beautiful... and she knew they needed it after what she saw through those windows! As a sophomore at Mauldin High School, she participated in a Career Shadowing Program at Ethan Allen of Greenville. Surprisingly, a decade after she "shadowed" Ethan Allen, she joined their team as an interior designer and enjoyed nine valuable years there before opening her own full service design firm in 2011.

Her education at Winthrop University and Tri-County College, priceless mentors, and over twenty two years of experience in the field has equipped her to succeed at creating spaces that her clients love. And just like her hometown of Greenville, her clients are diverse and so are their styles. Kimberly doesn't take a "one size fits all" approach to design, but rather effectively communicates and partners with her clients to develop a unique plan that fits their lifestyle, budget, and space. The lasting relationships she has built with her clients (and their children and pets in most cases) along with many skilled builders, craftsmen, and vendors, are the driving force of her business.

She is hard working and detail oriented, but most of all, dedicated to pleasing her clients and exceeding their expectations. She believes she really CAN make lives easier, more functional, and more beautiful through excellent design.
